Rigg Beck

Rigg Beck is a stream in the Lake District's Newlands Valley. For many years it gave its name to a local landmark, a house known informally as the Purple House.

This website shows views around Rigg Beck, photographs of the original house in its derelict state and the aftermath of the fire that destroyed it,  plans for a house to replace it, and progress on the new building
